Saul Bass Quote – Inspiration for Artists
Design is thinking… made visual.
– Saul Bass
They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. I’ve always been a visual person. I have trouble explaining my thoughts and ideas. Just give me a pen and paper and let me draw you the idea. It’s so much easier to explain something with an image, a picture.
Saul Bass was one of America’s most famous graphic designers. Never heard of him? Maybe you have seen is work. Have you ever seen some of Alfred Hitchcock’s movies? North by Northwest? Vertigo? Psycho? He was famous for designing movie posters and the opening credit scenes. You know the AT&T logo? Girl Scouts? Quaker Oatmeal? Kleenex? Avery Labels? He designed logos for some of the largest companies.
